Dracaena masoniana

Hailing from areas of Africa, this distinctive Snake Plant (it was formerly known as Sansevieria masoniana, but botanists reclassified it as a Dracaena) sports big leaves that can reach 36 inches tall and 10 inches wide. It’s loved for its distinctive look and easy-to-grow nature. You might also find this houseplant offered as Sharkfin Snake Plant, Sharkfin Sansevieria, or Mason Congo.

This tough-as-nails plant does best in bright indoor light—within 2 to 3 feet of a south-, east-, or west-facing window, buts tolerates low-light conditions. It can survive drying out a bit between waterings, but grows best when provided with even moisture. It’s perfectly fine in average household temperatures and tolerate low humidity levels.
